Is it better to buy a ready engagement ring or a bespoke engagement ring in Hong Kong?
Unless you have only a few days to get your engagement ring, we believe it is better to buy a bespoke engagement ring, especially in Hong Kong where turnaround times are quick. The process is more intimate and fun as well as being cheaper than getting a ready ring from a high street retailer
I’m not a design minded person and find this whole process daunting. What should I do?
We totally understand that buying a diamond engagement ring is a significant decision that can get confusing as there are so many variables. Best thing to do is get on a call with us where we ask you some important questions for us to understand you better. After that, you can be as involved as you like as we take the process further and work towards getting the right engagement ring for you.
What is the average delivery time for classic engagement rings?
The diamond or gemstone selection process usually takes around a week where we understand what you like, propose options and give you some time to think about it. Once you find the diamond you love and have worked out the design details with us, it’s usually another 2-3 weeks to get it ready for you. We can accommodate shorter deadlines if required - just get in touch!
What materials are your classic engagement rings made from?
For the main stone, we have done engagement rings using both natural and lab grown diamonds. We also have done gemstone rings with either a ruby, sapphire or emerald.
Our classic rings are usually made with 18K gold which means that the metal is 75% gold and 25% other alloys to make the ring stronger. We can make platinum engagement rings as well
What should I consider when designing a bespoke classic engagement ring?
Few things to think about when designing your bespoke classic engagement ring
- The main diamond or gemstone size and shape and how this will interact with the ring design
- The personality and lifestyle of your partner, do they like something flashy or something understated? Are they active and use their hands a lot which means you need your engagement ring to be a little heavy and strong
- Will they love this engagement ring design 5 years from now? 20 years from now?
- The technical details of the design - four prong or six prong? Tapered band or straight? Low setting or high?
