Halo Engagement Rings

Halo settings feature a center gemstone or diamond enhanced by at least one additional row of smaller accent stones. The most common style involves a center gem completely encircled by diamonds, creating a stunning effect best viewed from above.

Initially the halo was used to make a round diamond look bigger.  It would be set in line and close to the center stone to give a seamless look of scintillation and brilliance.

But over time, the halo has been used as a design feature.  You can have a double halo for the added bling effect, a non-round halo to either enhance the shape of any diamond or gemstone or to add a different shape to the main stone.  You can even choose to have coloured diamonds or gemstones in your halo to give it a contrasting look to the main stone.

Under halos are also popular which feature a thin line of diamonds under the diamond facing outwards for a subtle yet elegant effect.

At Niya K, our classic ring settings (not including the main diamond or gemstone) in 18K gold start at around HK$6,500 whilst a halo set engagement ring would be around HK$4,000-6,000 higher.  This is keeping in mind that usually halo engagement rings would also have pave set diamonds on the band to complete the overall diamond look.
A under halo would only cost around HK$1,000-2,000 more.
